Spider-Man star Kirsten Dunst has rekindled her romance with Dustin Hoffman's actor son Jake, according to reports.

The actress briefly dated Hoffman in 1998, but the couple drifted apart as Dunst's career rocketed with the release of the web-slinging superhero movies.

She was romantically linked to a number of rockers, including British star Johnny Borrell, drummer Fabrizio Moretti and, most recently, Rilo Kiley's Jason Boesel.

Kirsten Dunst's personal assistant has confirmed she was keeping marijuana in the hotel room where the actress' purse was snatched in 2007 - but insists the star had no knowledge of the drugs.

Liat Baruch took the stand at a court in New York on Thursday at the trial of a man accused of stealing the "Spider-Man" star's designer handbag from her suite at the city's SoHo Grand Hotel.

James Jimenez was convicted on a charge of criminal trespass in October but is facing a retrial at Manhattan Supreme Court after a jury last year failed to reach a verdict on charges of felony burglary.

A lawyer for the 35 year old claimed during a hearing on Wednesday that his client gained access to the penthouse because he was with alleged drug dealer Jarrod Beinerman, who was reportedly invited to Dunst's hotel room - but the claim was denied by the star's rep.

Spiderman actress Kristen Dunst has reportedly rekindled her romance with Dustin Hoffman's actor son Jake. The actress, who shot to fame by playing Mary Jane Watson, the lady love of Spiderman in the superhit franchise, has reportedly vowed to give up her partying ways to make her new relationship work.

Dunst briefly dated Jake in 1998 but they drifted apart after her career rocketed post the success of the superhero flick. Since then, Dunst was romantically linked to.

A number of rockers, including British star Johnny Borrell, drummer Fabrizio Moretti and, most recently, Rilo Kiley's Jason Boesel. But it seems that the star wants to have a more steady relationship now, the National Enquirer reported. "Kristen's career soared, but privately she was self-destructing. She dated a string of bad boys and her life spiraled out of control."

Showing up and looking lovely, Kirsten Dunst attended the opening of Bond Street’s new Louis Vuitton boutique in London, England. The “Spider-Man” actress dazzled in a Fall 2010 Louis Vuitton dress paired with simple black pumps and looked to be having a nice time as she celebrated the grand opening of the swanky store.

In other news, in the on-going case from when Ms Dunst’s purse was stolen from her New York City hotel room last year, the lawyer for the thief recently claimed that the only reason he was in Kirsten’s suite was because “there were drugs in the room.”According to NY Daily News, James Jimenez was tagging along with drug dealer Jarrod Beinerman, Jimenez's lawyer Robert Parker said. "Beinerman is a major New York drug dealer," Parker said as Jimenez's retrial got under way. Jimenez "obviously had permission to be there."Meanwhile, Dunst was not in Manhattan Supreme Court when Parker made the charge, but her spokesman flatly denied it. “That is completely false and clearly a desperate ploy by the attorney,” Stephen Huvane said.

I like it when I'm in tune with an A-lister like Kirsten Dunst. Granted, I'm not sporting truckloads of kohl because it tends to make me look a little racoonish (don't wozzer KD, you're all good) but we are both wearing Chanel Nouvelle Vague ($39). While I didn't quite make it to France for Kirsten's nail painting, given she's dressed head to toe in Chanel, I think we're pretty safe to assume that the pearlescent turquoise on her fingers is one and the same as mine. Fancy that. It's part of the Summer 2010 Les Pop-Up De Chanel collection which I'm completely beyond besotted with. How about you? Do you like turquoise? Kirsten Dunst is showing her short film Bastard on the closing night of the Cannes Film Festival on 20 May. Bastard, Dunst's sophomore directorial effort, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in April and stars Brian Geraghty (The Hurt Locker) and Lukas Haas in a six minute piece about a young couple in crisis that find their way to a seedy motel.

In her official director's statement, Kirsten writes: This film explores what makes the unbelievable believable. When we hear a story that seems mysterious or far-fetched, we put more trust in its accuracy the longer ago it took place.

Walter Salles and Francis Ford Coppola’s long in development adapatation of Jack Kerouac’s classic novel On The Road has gained a little more momentum.  Kirsten Dunst is the latest actress to sign on for the film. Salles and Coppola first acquired the rights to On the Road thirty years ago, but financial problems kept the project in development hell.

Now, Coppola’s American Zoetrope production company will  coproduce the project alongside Salles’ Videofiles and Film4 company.  The production is scheduled to begin filming in August. On The Road follows young drifter Dean Moriarty on a trek across America as he chronicles the people, the places, and the experiences that he has on his long journey.

Kristen Stewart and Garrett Hedlund have also been attached to this project for a few years now. I have heard that  On the Road is a fantastic book.  It was due to be adapted sooner or later.  I trust Francis Ford Coppola’s vision and I feel that Dunst is a capable actress.  This project should be interesting.
