Hollywood leading lady Kirsten Dunst, best known for The Virgin Suicides, Marie Antoinette and the Spider-man trilogy is set to reunite with her Elizabethtown co-star Orlando Bloom for Roger Donaldson’s upcoming financial thriller Cities.

The film is set across three locations across the globe, with Dunst and Bloom playing a young couple in London looking to get a foot on the property ladder. Killer Elite and Inside Man star Clive Owen is already signed on to the project and will star as a New York based hedge fund manager with Anil Kapoor playing a crooked cop in Mumbai embroiled in a property scam.
Written by The Royle Family producer Glenn Wilhilde, the three plots will interweave as the actions of one has consequences for the other. In the official press release, Donaldson said “Cities is very much a movie for our time, the subjects of greed and money and their impact on our everyday lives surround us constantly and Cities is a movie that will explore this in a dramatic way with tension and excitement at every turn.”
Filming is already underway on Cities with a release set for 2012, meanwhile Donaldson’s thriller Justice starring Nicolas Cage arrives in cinemas in a few weeks.
As for Dunst she can currently be seen in Melancholia and has On the Road, Upside Down and Bachelorette due out next year while Bloom is currently starring as the Duke of Buckingham in The Three Musketeers and is currenty filming the eagerly awaited The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.
